Shin Etsu shipped G751 and X23-7762 to me by Fedex today, I'll mail out to everyone ASAP. That will be either tomorrow or Thursday, depending on whether they shipped next day or 2nd day.

Even the engineers/ and sales staff at Shin Etsu didn't realize that there was no raw material for X23-7762 in the US...so the order was delayed while the material came from Japan.

I got a real lesson in how global our economy is, when I realized that just by posting to our forums that thermal compound shipped from Japan to me [by way of Shin Etsu].

Then, I sent orders as far away as Australia, Malaysia, Israel, France, Denmark, Belgium, Scotland, England, Canada, and all over the US.

Thanks to everyone for being patient!

If you have placed an order already, it will ship Wednesday or Thursday....basically a few hours after Fedex drops the package off.

X23 -7762 is totally sold out, but I will reorder if enough people ask for it.

G751 will sell out soon, I only have 14 tubes left, but I will reorder if enough people ask for it.

You're welcome, Stonewolf!

Now that orders are arriving, and some people are getting both kinds of thermal compound, here is Shin Etsu's marking system

Red cappped syringe contains X23-7762

Blue cappped syringe contains G751

Another way to tell is by consistency:

-X23-7762 is more like grease and,

-G751 is a bit more like putty.

Da Nacho thanks for the eval!

I posted heat for you.

Sorry the order shipped late.! I shipped out within hours of the Fed Ex delivery, but the Shin Etsu order became back ordered and I received two partial deliveries. I was told that I will get better service if I order 10,000 tubes or more. :-)

Shin Etsu is sort of doing us a favor in the OC community by selling to me, since they are truly focused on giant corporations and big orders.

Feisty, I don't know why people order 5 tubes or 25.

Perhaps because it is cost effective with the shipping cost , and maybe they have friends who use some compound.

I'm getting ready to order more G751 and X23-7762, so it would really help me judge how large an order to place if everyone who is interested would email me at vailchalet2 at aol.com

You're very welcome!

Please let us know how you think the G751 and X23-7762 compare against each other , or how they compare to other thermal compounds you've used!
